Logistics technology FourKites completes 228 million rupee B round financing

FourKites, a logistics technology company covering India and the United States, announced the completion of a 228 million rupee (about $35 million) B round financing, leading to the famous Silicon Valley Vic August Capital, including the US Bain Capital and HydePark Venture Partners.


It is reported that August Capital venture partner Eric Carlborg will join the board of FourKites company. At the same time, the company also issued a statement, said it plans to use the latest financing to expand business to other areas, and develop more product portfolio.


FourKites was founded in 2014, two co founders are Chandrasekaran and Mathew Elenjickal, and its engineering and technology team is currently stationed in Chennai, India, and the sales team is in the United States.


They mainly provide supply chain management, predict data analysis, and provide real-time business analysis for Fortune 500 and third party logistics companies. Using the exclusive algorithm, FourKites company can estimate the arrival time of logistics freight, and then help the consignment company reduce the operating cost, improve the logistics alignment rate and customer satisfaction.


In the past 12 months, the company's business revenue has increased by 4 times, and it has signed a supply chain tracking service agreement with the European consumer goods giant Unilever.


At present, their customers include best buy, Conagra Brands, Perdue Foods, Smithfield Foods and US Foods. It is reported that FourKites will expand its coverage to Europe and South America.
